I feel like bp doesn’t get enough credit for how many people they got into kpop

lol i am literally the biggest example of how BP paved the way. I had always brushed off Kpop, from BOA to Hyori and BB and then to BTS, i was never once interested. But BP House and BBY caught my eye and i have never turned back.

The irony is that because of BP, i have actually given those former acts a second chance.

I think it all depends on time & place honesty. Sometimes things just show up in recommendations and people clicked on them.

I won't deny they were many people's gateway - but a lot of us, myself included have been stanning since before they were even an idea. I think they helped introduce a lot of fans, but how they found BP may be up to algorithm or word of mouth in the end.

Still happy more people found k-pop either way, no matter what the group they found it through.

I guess it depended on who you talked to because objectively BTS brings in the most newcomers to kpop, especially from Twitter and youtube

BP really brought a lot of new fans into kpop, but this thread will probably be buried it initial quote with people giving the "certain group brought more" and "I already knew and was into kpop" when in reality your sentence is correct with "BLACKPINK did bring new fans to K-pop world" period.

it was a wonderful time

this one dude started whistling whistle one day and all the blinks popped out of our holes

in my country kpop has came long ago with BigBang

but it died down very quickly after them being inactive

almost every people know kpop and but almost everyone dislike it now

but i see so many blinks & casual listeners of Blackpink in my country i guess they are exception

I think it depends where in the world. BTS are truly the ones that got most fans in the western part of the world while BP have certain SEA countries
