True, I mean there were of course some hit songs in 3rd gen k-pop. But these three songs' achievements were under one artist, and that says a lot.

The fact that there are 2 unexpected hits, an unexpected hit from a Western artist, a viral song from a decade ago, a solo debut from a member of the biggest GG right now, an album release from the biggest artist in Korea and the occasional Webtoon OST storming the charts right now and it's STILL in the top 10 shows that it isn't dying anytime soon.
It has the longevity, the high peaks, and the impact. Time is the only determiner at this point tbh.
