Do you prefer a group who sticks to their concept/sound or a group with generally diverse sounds/concepts?

I have always thought that concept-driven music was cheap and shallow, concepts should follow the music not the other way around because music should be the main point. In that same vein, I think an artist or a group can keep their identity and signature sound while still having diversity and that's cool. What's not cool though is when they change their whole identity for commercial success. But if you look at it from a different angle they probably change their "identity" because it was a concept all along and not really an identity. If you're truly a band you won't simply turn into a dance group, if you're truly a hip hop or a ballad group you won't simply turn into a pop group and etc. That looks like selling out to me and the epitome of manufactured, it makes me lose respect.

I like groups with a diverse range of concepts, makes it more interesting.

I prefer a group that I prefer. Concept change or not is a long way to observe to then choose to stan them

Diverse.

I prefer diversity
I don't mind if they release something I dislike. It's not like my life will end if a decided to not listen a groups release
In reality I find pretty natural you don't like everything your bias put out. In kpop there is a unspoken mandatory rule for you to like and financially support everything your bias ever release otherwise you aren't a worthwhile fan

As long as they are putting out bops, I don’t really care. I love diversity and versatility in music, but it’s really not mandatory to me.

Doesn't matter, as long as the music's good

Lots of my favorite songs come from EXO and Red Velvet, so definitely diverse.

I prefer diversity and shows of growth in artistry. Groups that show concept and genre change as the group grew older to suit their current self. Best examples are BTS (of course) and Twice. They don’t stick to their old style and sound because they have matured so for me feels more genuine than trying to maintain the same concept that you had since debut.
