I get unless China government had maintained Qing's royal legacy / families in publicly recognized manner after the dynasty ended that would have made them a legit icon in society, otherwise these descendants would only get together
in ancestor worshiping day read the family tree roster through reckon themselves Chinese royal members used to be.

I actually feel rather sorry for the royals. They may be rich and famous, but everything they do, everything they say, it all has to follow protocol and is strictly regulated. Not to mention the millions of people who watch their every move and judge them constantly. I'd run for the hills faster than Usain Bolt runs the 100m.
