If it's a cute concept it's possible to manage both at the same time
I think this is cute concept with teen crush

izoniee there's already a thread about the announcement of a gg :
If you wish to keep this thread I will advise you to remove the new group announcement from the title
and make it solely a discussion about whether or not gidle will be neglected.
If you are unable to, I can do it for you~
* In my opinion I believe the answer to that question is no, as long as Soyeon remains heavily involved in G-idle's music
Furthermore, regarding the concerns about this thread,
I think the discussion can stay open
But I will keep an eye on it
well i think they should debut a new boy group instead of another 4th gen girl group
I don't think companies care about "generations" and all that stuff. Only fans do.
I disagree, clearly big 3 care enough to debut a group ever 4 - 6 years, I do think smaller companies don't and probably just want a leading group? too soon to say now because this new group can do a 180 to Gidle and have no similarities
but, considering their past of only focusing on one group at a time and Gidle debuting 3 years ago now, I think they may be moving on
Because it's the usual life cycle of a k-pop group. But whether it is 3rd gen, 4th gen, 3.5th gen or whatever, they don't care. It's all about opportunities. They'll launch a new group whenever they have a gap to fill and competent enough trainees to push forward.
I defo think people downplay how much companies pay attention to these things though, after all the whole gen thing came from kpop to begin with to differentiate the different groups and idols that have come and gone. I agree with you, but South Korea does pay attention to their gen and have officialise forth gen from 2020 - 2021

If we go with that and the fact Gidle have debuted since 2018, it makes sense for a non big 3 group to try their luck again.

Koreans themselves confused with their gen thing tho
groups after straykids are all considered 4th gen according to one source but i forgot the source now
