Why and How did you stan BlackPink?

Since pre debut. I was a yg stan so i had to stan them lol

Now i only stan BP, no one else

I got into K-pop about 6 months ago and Blackpink was my first group. It was like a few weeks after HYLT era.

I found them because I play a game called Beat Saber and listened to K/DA and D4 was in my recommended and the thumbnail looked cool so I clicked on it and I've been a blink ever since.

I saw boombayah and immediately fell in love

i was too young to be on the internet and hated bp until aiiyl era when i finally realized ,,, bro are u ok why do u hate ppl you don't even know

since the bbhmm dance practice, i i feel like them debuting that summer kind of helped me a lot bc they gave me smth positive to focus on , that's why i will always love them plus they turned to be amazing inside and out so i won

I'm one of the Netflix light up the sky converts.

I had heard about them in the zeitgeist but as a metal/rock/jazz-head I don't pay much attention to alot of what happens in the pop world except for certain artists.

Netflix gave me a good opportunity to find out what they were all about, and it turns out I like what they do. :). I've since surveyed a bunch of other Kpop GG but most of them I just find uninteresting or too "Girly", but we know BP is not like other GG.

Also like Mamamoo and Dreamcatcher now.

One day in the summer of 2017 I hated my job, and wanted to listen to "The Internationale" (French: "L'Internationale") (a left-wing anthem. So I went to YouTube and found a modern Chinese version that looked cool and fell in love with one of the female singers, Jike Junyi. I watched her videos and noticed that someone named "@@@f55b46af-abd9-471b-bada-bcacea9d1b0e@@@" was always recommended in YouTube's recommendations. So I started watching her videos and was blown away by the quality and production standard of Korean music, of Kpop. It was so well produced and of such good quality.

While watching Ailee, I kept seeing somebody named "Blackpink" in the recommendations. I clicked on "As If It's Your Last," the latest video, and that was that.

Life is now essentially BBP (Before Blackpink) and ABP (After Blackpink).

late 2019, D4 was in my recommendations and I started listening to them and watching all the things related to the girls. They were my first kpop group.

I was interested in them as soon as there were rumors about YG debuting a new girl group. Once they debuted, I was sold. They’ve been my favorite group ever since.

My bestie was always trying to get me into kpop so one day i searched it up to see what the hype was about. Whistle was the first video so i just clicked on it and lemme just tell you i fell in love and had that song on repeat for half an hour straight lmao
