Is it wrong to discuss/have an opinion on idols personal life or did they give up that right when they became a kpop idol?

I don't think it's wrong because it's the price of fame. I think it's only wrong when a person goes beyond what is shown in the public eye. Idols are like other celebrities and people always discuss the lives of entertainers.

It depends.

While they didn't "give up that right when they became a kpop idol," things like dating, family matters, etc is for them to be concerned about. Nobody else.

But when its "personal life" in regard to shitty things the idol has done behind the scenes, then they absolutely do not deserve that privacy.

Giving up your privacy is the price you pay to be a celebrity, but I'll say it depends, only because there are certain sensitive matters where the media and public really shouldn't pry, but if it's something more frivolous, like gossip about their love life or how they act like an ass behind the scenes, well that's their own fault for not keeping a tighter lid on it.

theres no real point in having an opinion on an idols personal life cause you never see the full picture. you don't know this person in an intimate matter.

like ive never looked into my faves family , i only know his dog because he posts that a lot. i know nothing about what is outside of his instagram posts and things he says.

Idols who want their lives private don't have Instagram and don't post anything unless it's about their work. You don’t see them at a restaurant, festival, shopping, or doing anything publicly. Those with Instagram post about their daily lives which gives people what to talk about and how to find them.

Discussing them is what keeps them relevant and employed to begin with so, it's not bad unless it's about something bad they've done or don't want to go public.

The best way to draw a line is for an idol to choose what to make public as it's what they share and do publicly that gets people prying most of the time. So drawing a line is majorly their responsibility imo.

i think it's ok to discuss it, for example taking Jungkook and Winter dating scandal, i think it's ok to talk about it and give your opinion in a sensible way be it you agree/diagree with it, what it's not ok is for fans to think they have the right to decide for the idol, like there is a difference on me saying something like, oh jungkook and winter look good together i am glad they are dating! or i don't think they are a good fit not a big fan of them dating (acceptable) to OMG why the fuck is jungkook dating that #$%&$#% he should break up with her i am fucking boycotting! (unacceptable)

It's not wrong for any Celebrity to discuss their private life, it's just there are consequences from their fans and their public that could possibly ruin their lives, their families, friends and anyone associated with them.

But stalking and harassing them is a no go

What I feel is open tables to discuss and talk and shit and say whatever the fk I want about is those couples who make their entire career out of being in a relationship

Like gossip about them like any other celebrity but sending funeral wreaths and trucks is just batshit behaviour.

Anything can be talked about… but it’s between us and it should stay between us, like normal people gossiping about ‘what’s the tea.’

Don’t go on someone else’s personal accounts to swear at them or tell them who they should date.

Fans tend to forget that in real life, they’re just ‘spectators’ in someone else’s life. You’re not part of their personal life, you’re part of their work.
