why are hybe ggs lowk getting sabotaged

Sorry but let humans be humans - there are days where they can get nervous or not be optimal and it shouldn’t reflect their full capability if it isn’t a repeated occurrence etc

They're non-muscular girls expected to do full choreos with minimal training on how to sing without a backtrack.

If we take away Nmixx who can sing live while dancing we've still got itzy who aren't considered a vocal group and they still manage their lines live.

Someone at JYP is clearly training their GGs to sing live while at Hybe they are not.

well...when you choose gnarly as the song you want to perform at the grammys...you're really begging to get roasted online.

It's because Hybe doesn't believe in developing vocal talent and only cares about putting up heavily choreographed dance performances. People in the Grammys and the audience too doesn't care about energetic performances and beautiful aesthetics. They are old fashioned. They care about singers singing.

Gnarly isn’t a vocal heavy song, they just shoot words so people acted they couldn’t sing unfortunately you can’t do that much

The bigger issue is that most performances fans call “live” aren’t 100% raw live to begin with. Festivals, concerts and even social media Live can be trick using a real-time pitch correction, strong backing tracks or post-processing before they’re uploaded. It’s very easy to make vocals sound cleaner than they actually were in the moment.

That’s why it feels like things “don’t add up" when they perform in those stage. They sang well there because the system and their company helped them when they're in their league. When idols go on big US award shows, they don’t get the same privilege and their company have no control on the editing and processing. What we hear ends up being the most real version of their vocals, nerves and all. That’s not sabotage... that’s exposure and reality.

Same thing happened with Moka. Who follow Runext knows no one questioned her vocals in that show. Only after debut, when the performances became more revealing, the reality hit. Hybe is one of those companies that relies way too much on vocal assistance, and it ends up giving people a distorted picture of their actual live singing.

Singing while dancing is hard AF.

Idols do it better than most to start with so they should be cut some slack.

Not sure how true it is, but I saw somewhere that Hybe might use more post processing which is why there's a more noticeable difference?

I've always found their vocal processing very heavy and found the reason below.

has anyone noticed this trend of a hybe gg somehow struggling to sing at a main event?

it happened to LSF with Coachella because they had their off moments (literally 10% of the entire perf) and people dragged the hell out of it, using it to solidify the "lsf cant sing" sentiment

and now you have katseye where most members have gone viral for pretty head voice, unique tone, great belting whatever whatever...but then the MOMENT they appeared on the grammys or was it the vma's too(?), they are struggling to sing.

it just DOESN'T add up when both groups have ALSO sang well and live on their recent concerts and delivered strong vocals

i actually DONT believe it is just about hard choreography at this point.

that's a big part why i can't listen to hybe songs. some melodies are good and catchy but the overall product is just empty and soulless. robotic voices.
