Are Gidle and aespa only ggs from 4rd gen that did not peak during their rookie era?

IVE's best year was its 2nd year
And I think Le Sserafim did struggle a bit in its first year as well

As far I know, as long group is under 2 years old it is still "rookie"

Next Level was easily aespa's biggest hit until just last year, so I suppose that's technically correct.
I mean, we can just look at this list to answer the question easily

Aespa had Next Level during their 2nd year
the Aespa case is a bit special cuz it's one if not the only 4th gen group to peak two times in their career
they Peaked with Next level then had hits but couldn't be compare to the massive success of Next level
and one thing with aespa during this period of time is that they always had very very good longevity in the chart (spicy, drama etc..) but they were always blocked with peak
and since Supernova they are finally able to have great peak with great longevity

What?
i-dle:
Latata - Peak: #11
HANN - Peak: #7
Senorita - Peak: #8
Uh-Oh - Peak: #10
DUMDi DUMDi - Peak: #5
HWAA - Peak: #1 - First number 1 song
Since "HWAA" almost every Title Track topped the Charts, except "Super Lady". Since "HANN", they're always in the TOP10.
Black Mamba - Peak: #26
Next Level - Peak: #3
Savage - Peak: #1
Only after 1 year, they topped the Charts, and they never left the TOP5 since.
If these aren't in the "biggest hit" category, I don't know what is. 😂

People always sleep on Idle was already on pace to be a top 4th gen group. Their trajectory changed after queendom when they released Lion.

The fact Whiplash has just repeaked at 6 on melon 24hits after 7 months is crazy

SM strategy is interesting but works! Debut with lukewarm music then slowly spice it up

Compare Happiness and Black Mamba to Red Velvet and aespa’s later TT and they’re truly unpredictable

I’m so curious what H2H brings

According to people with no taste you would be wrong and Girls peaked at #7 or #8 only - absolute flop apparently.
I think people just feel like it was a flop era because of their hiatus. Between Savage and Spicy there was 1.5 years with only Girls and the hate train in between (and Dreams Come True but it was a remake obv)

I feel like, these days, if a song ins not #1 it's a flop. Absolutely INSANE behavior.

I second this. The life of a non-BIG4 group and their fandoms.

Only I-dle did...
They basically went from charting in the 10 - 30's to hitting a string of 3 number 1 songs that were a peak. This seperates them from the number 1 hit wonders (not one hit wonders that don't chart in the Top 40 again)
aespa was just a matter of time getting a number 1 because they were already charting with 2nd ranks.

NMIXX. Their peak is yet to come. (Or maybe never.)
savage!!! I mean it took Day6 to go to the Army to hit it big

There is actually some groups that released their biggest song after rookie era, but I guess AKP users could not find them
NATURE with LIMBO did after 4 years of their debut. It is their biggest song
