It's interesting how they are one of the only groups that haven't seen a significant drop in sales. Even their solo albums are doing very well.
Yeah, sales will always be there for this group imo. I think charting is trickier because they sometimes start slower than other groups. I am just not sure if "Good Thing" will be in the top 10 due to slow start and many groups comebacks are in late may - july
But they haven’t charted on Spotify Global for a while now the only current active 4th gen GG’s that can do that is aespa and Le Sserafim so it’s to be expected. (New Jeans too but they’re inactive right now due to HYBE situation)
Korea is where they do best I think it’s too early to tell but I feel like the song has potential to rise.
I've seen a LOT of people in Korea saying they didn't know it's G-Idle, they thought it's a new group. Even Western people said that. Saying this in the age of social media is crazy.
I honestly don't get why people are obsessed with Chart and especially Spotify. Like, it's the #1 platform where you can cheat with streams the most, other than YT. Not to mention, Spotify is made for like 5-6 Kpop groups, everyone else has decent or bad numbers.
i think the name change is irrelevant. the song is just bad
Boooo!

I am confused that people are confused about the name change. They just dropped the "G", so it shouldn't be hard to figure out it's the same group.
Using spotify to measure Idle's success sounds like people trying to attack them. They were never a group that charted well globally like that. Out of the 4th gen group it's mainly NewJeans, Le Sserafim, and Aespa that charted well globally. Hybe groups will always have the advantage in that. Also, people shouldn't care that much and care more about the quality. The quality of the project is fine imo and they have solid b-sides, so we should be happy about that. Also, the group usually starts off slow imo when it comes to domestic charts

Koreans never pronounced the G, so I doubt the name change matters. Also, I think expectations are too high after the success of Fate. This is what you would expect. Good/strong album sales and a slow climb up the domestic charts as they make rounds on variety shows/youtube shows.
"Good Thing" by i-dle debuts with 375,185 streams on the Spotify counter.

GIDLE used to pull very decent numbers on spotify, just like IVE.
