How was Garam able to stay relevant for 3 years despite only being a kpop idol for 2 weeks?!

  • That’s insane :!: Some active idols or idols that have been in this business for years don’t have that level of support :?:

    Seems like she really could have been an IT girl in kpop :oops:

  • I think there's always intrigue when a member leaves a popular group early. Soojin and Jini were able to gain a lot of instagram followers early. I remember Soojin had 2m+ followers when she started her ig. I think Jini was able to get 1m+ follower when she started hers. The point is I think there's always going to be intrigue about members leaving due to it being unheard of.

    I think what helps Garam out people kept her name relevant. The discourse around her name wasn't positive but it kept her name in people's minds.

    Hopefully things work out her if she's truly going to pursue acting. I have no clue with the general public will give her a chance

  • What relevance? She has new music?

    Because random viral dog and cat videos could have that much engagement as well

    To add to what Beg4dawin said ( which btw never actually processed their username before lol! A bit… unique :!:) she’s always being discussed! Every new gg lineup had people claiming Garam was a secret member and joined the company ^^

    For someone that spent less than a month promoting with no pre debut content like Chaewon and Sakura, she’s grown a big and loyal fanbase! I wonder how big she can become if she actually starts releasing music/acting or promoting :oops:

    It’s true! I think the mystery behind what will be her next move helped! I remember initially everyone was invested in Jini’s next move and then she eventually released music and it because less mysterious!

    I wish Garam the best! She has to be strong person to continue chasing her dream after reaching it and being let go so suddenly :oops:

    what does their username mean? still don't get it

    BEG = Brown Eyed Girls.

  • I think people feel sorry for her. It's not pity exactly (or not only pity) but kpop fans and netizens had this sentiment of regretting the circumstances of her departure from the group. I myself stanned Soojin because 1) I liked gidle at the beginning (I still somewhat like them but I am a casual fan at most, not an actual fan) and 2) I felt like she was blindly hated and there was no proper investigation done. Kpop does have this problem of doing this public court thing without waiting out a proper investigation.

    But I might be wrong. I am yet to follow Garam, I'm not sure if I will, I am not invested this time around. But I wish her a good comeback I guess.
