I think it comes down to companies taking risks and putting in the effort. They’re hoping that one group will be the breakthrough that puts them on the map. But if they aren’t doing enough to keep their groups in the public eye—whether through YouTube content, acting roles, or variety show appearances—people will lose interest.

The market is oversaturated, and if a group isn’t actively engaging with fans, they’ll quickly be forgotten.

If a company can’t afford frequent comebacks, they should find other ways to maintain visibility. At the very least, they need to show they’re trying, because half-hearted efforts won’t get them anywhere.

I would also add to that that many agencies nowadays seem to sent groups too early on a so called World Tour which mostly is US Tour + 4/5 stops in Asia. In consequence they created bigger time gap between comebacks, and promote less in Korean city festivals/school festivals etc. and it just makes people in SK forget that one or another group exists.

That’s a good point. The long gaps between comebacks and lack of local promotions definitely don’t help. It’s like companies are prioritizing short-term gains over long-term stability. But sometimes even that strategy doesn’t work—ATEEZ has a massive global fanbase, yet they still struggle to gain the same level of recognition in Korea.

I don't know, I think this show is struggling to renew itself. There should be a concept of battle between agencies with several groups from each agency, but there's no chance of that happening. It would be much too difficult to organize.

This show makes me sad seeing the wrods "6 idol groups that lose their shine". I am a fan of Purple Kiss, Lightsum, Wooah, and I enjoy some of Ichillin music. Those words make it seem like these groups are in trouble and that would make me sad. I love listening to Swan and Chowon sing.

Many of them are probably in trouble.

Like I said in the other thread, some of them will probably disband after the show is over.

I will be sad if Lightsum or Purple Kiss disband. I think Lightsum could be in trouble becuase their last release was a digital single and they didn't release an album last year and nothing announced this year
