Nobody knows. It's all conjecture at this point. The only absolute fact is that they have an agency, because Hyein said they do, just not who.
Nobody is scared of HYBE. Multiple companies have openly defied and denied HYBE's requests to call them "NewJeans" and handle all advertisements exclusively through them.
NJZ is way too popular and beloved in the industry to be intimidated by any fall out with HYBE

Tbh i hope its an american agency that will kind of have a lighter hand on them.
Theyll never ever sign to the same agency as their producer though because that was key to keeping the right to performing their existing discography and if alllll of the rights were under one company their power in the artistry would shrink extensively.

Most people above have already mentioned a new agency but before acquiring a new agency, I'd guess they were funding themselves. After all, they've been paid millions so I wouldn't expect all that money to be spent so easily, already.

They might've formed their own.
If they got an investor or a "parent" company willing to invest enough if in them then they actually might've formed their own. Plus I don't think they would announce a "new" agency if they were simply joining a different company.

Well they have really done anything so far, that needs large amounts, except maybe for lawyers - that can be deferred payment.
Only new music, production, MVs, merch and physical albums would need large investments. Or concert tours.
It is quite possible that they or MHJ already are sitting on a pipeline of songs, already paid for
And they have been taking a largely digital route to be in public mind and now appearing via conventions arranged by others.
So none of it needs any big money, and can be done with their degree of fame.
The nugu companies could very well do such things, but they don't have the fame.
Things like costumes, stylists etc might not bite that much, if played smartly.
