What’s the point of learning a dance choreo if groups don’t promote the song?

Most likely for when they have a bigger catalogue and have to perform multiple songs.

Plus, there's a chance of a b-side going viral and it's better to be prepared to perform it. There's been many recent b-sides that ended up becoming bigger than the title track. I feel that usually happens with Kiss of Life

Some groups do promote it after the promotions of their title track… just like Kiss of Life, and illit.

Building muscle memory for concerts - imagine having to learn 15 new choreos leading up to a concert.

Training - why practice other groups choreos when you can just do your own.

Butterflies is the better song and the choreography is elegant. We want some promotion.
