Born again , Lisa got outshined in her own song

    Because I liked “new woman” and I would of rather that was just Lisa, since Rosalia’s part was just off


    But I think the opposite with this, Raye and Doja cat are wayyyy too strong artists, Lisa part was very weak compared to them, and no, you’re not gonna gaslight me into thinking different


    You gotta hand it to BP, their entire “solos” are mostly collabs, and their biggest hits are thanks to other artists

    It’s smart marketing, I just don’t like blinks giving all the credit to them.



    I enjoy a lot of blackpink’s GROUP music, so this isn’t shade to them.


    Admittedly their solo stuff eh. Personally I think they are stronger as a group

    To be fair, this statement is actually true, but it was obvious the minute she announced the collab. Lisa is nowhere near the level of Doja or Raye, not a shade, just the truth.


    Honestly, if we look at Blackpink without any bias, or any average Kpop group, you can see that some members are outshining the others. This is why BP became big, they're not the best performers, but each member is good enough in something, and it was easier to cover up each other flaws. Well, most of the time.


    It's much easier to find their flaws when they're soloists, Lisa is the prime example, just look at the critics she received since she left YG. In this song, there's Doja and Raye to help her, basically. If they perform this song live, it's gonna be more obvious. Lisa is much better in a group than alone, the same goes for Jisoo as well.

    If Lisa's vocals were a bit more powerful and solid, she would've blended in perfectly with Raye and Doja. Her vocal tone is really nice and fits this song.


    Also, Doja and Raye have incredible stage presence and with Lisa being new, I'm not surprised that she can be outshined easily. But over time, I think she'll be on par with them if she trains more on vocals.

    Imo, Kpop and Western Pop are two very different worlds. If I placed Lisa with other popular and talented kpop artists, she can match their stage presence.


    Meanwhile, she lacks the stage presence for a western audience/music. Thus, when performing western songs, she will pale in comparison to Raye and Doja.


    I like to think about it like this: Kpop is chicken seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic, etc. It's very vanilla and "safe". In comparison a lot of western songs are spicy...really spicy. Kpop's version of spicy is like adding cayenne pepper. Idk if this makes sense, but I am hungry though.


    To add: she was able to develop stage presence. But it's meant for Kpop music, audience and groups.

    tbh I don't think is because of stage presence though Lisa has plenty. You need to watch her solo performances when she is either dancing or rapping. I thought she never lacked any charisma or stage presence in n other collabs either.


    The thing is that singing is something new for Lisa, so naturally she might not be super confident. Also Doja and Raje are way more experienced vocalists than Lisa. Reason why I kind of wish she would get to rap more so she can exude that confidence that she has in blackpink that's her forte and dancing. But I'm glad she is challenging herself now with singing

    This woman cannot catch a break seriously. Everything she does is wrong, apparently.


    Everybody knows that she is not a singer. Hence she collabed with those 2. Nobody is taking away credit from Raye and Doja. Mind you this song wouldn’t see the light of the day if Lisa didn’t buy this song from Raye. In the past few months people were sh*tting on Lisa because her music was bad, now you guys are saying that she shouldn’t be on the track, other 2 girls ate her up, she can’t sing etc. etc. etc….


    In the 1st place, why are you guys are holding her on the same level as these solo artists? Also I can’t remember that Lisa was a vocalist of BP?


    She did sound good in the track and served face as she can. She collected these 2 gorgeous and talented ladies into 1 room and all of them released this masterpiece.

    Raye is also getting her flowers as she should. Many people still didn’t know her including me, but because of this collab I discovered this talented woman. She couldn’t release this song under her label but we have been blessed because Lisa bought this song and added those 2 gorgeous ladys. You guys always act like Lisa committed some crime. If you don’t like her just don’t listen.

    yeah very well said. Fortunately, it's only a few users that think that. Many of us think Lisa did amazing and she is trying something different we should try to give credit for that too. I don't think anyone was outshined everyone got their time to shine.
