yet the album has best album sales on gaon/circle

blackpink last album was in 2022 and even when they are active it's not like they release a lot of albums within a year because if they did pretty sure the would have the highest album sales overall.

I actually made a mistake. Born Pink is the best-selling album on circle charts ever (2,9M). So still a Blackpink record. The Album used to be the best-selling album by a female Kpop group, now it’s still in the top 10. Apart from these two albums, Blackpink only released like two or three mini-albums during the third generation. Physical sales in particular for female groups weren’t as big as it’s now.

blackpink broke the record for albums sales for girl groups with the album later born pink for best selling album ( twice were also big on album sales ) and since they still have the best selling album I would say it didn't apply for them. The issue is the lack of album releases they have as opposed to newer girl groups that release like 2 o3 three albums in a year. it's unfair to compare. it's not so much a 3rd generation thing but them not releasing much music.

I talk about the lack of albums in my two posts but it's also a third generation thing. aespa and IVE would not have these sales if they had debuted in the third generation. They would sell less albums.

I don't personally don't think this applies for blackpink you know blackpink has an unsual way to promote, which one of the reasons they have a really small discography ( compared to even nugu groups) and that has nothing to do more with they generation they are in.

well that has to do more with a newer marketing strategy with selling multiple versions like way more than previous years that helps the increase on album sales for girl groups. Blackpink only did it born pink and only after the pre-orders that was 1.5M sales.

Square up and Kill this love sales were exceptional too for third generation standards. Then they became a global group. I would explain the difference like that.

i was also surprised that bp wasnt the most listend gg last year. than i realised that songs like apt. probably dount count since its a solo and not a bp song.^^
