It won't be the kpop 'we know' if AI becomes a viable option for kpop agencies in Korea. With AI getting cheaper they can just copy and paste the type of music/interactions/visuals that attracts young Korean females the most. If they become successful like Plave, there won't be another "BTS". It's going to be some AI-dol, what LSM tried to do but couldn't because he timed it too early. Young Korean females are starting to have their feeling more attuned to virtual male characters over real life males because of all those factors that cause low quality males.

I don't, but in no way should that stop me from knowing the names and faces of the five artists that are members of PLAVE. Personally, for me a Google Search of PLAVE seems to produce a abnormally large amount of cartoon images and less photos of the real life artists, even when compared to idols groups that involve cartoons as a part of their promotional material. I guess your experience is very different.
