Actor Park Sung Hoon is being criticized by netizens for his tacky excuse after uploading and then deleting a Japanese AV (Adult Video) cover parodying his ‘Squid Game’ series.
On the 30th, an AV cover that clearly showed numerous women’s nude bodies and sexual intercourse scenes was uploaded to Park Sung Hoon’s SNS. It was a high-level ‘pornographic video’ with a concept parodying ‘Squid Game.’ The post was deleted at the speed of light, but it was already captured and quickly spread online.
Some netizens raised the possibility of hacking damage, but it was actually a post by Park Sung Hoon himself. An official from Park Sung Hoon’s agency, BH Entertainment, admitted to Donga.com, “We accidentally uploaded it while checking the DMs (direct messages) that were coming in on Park Sung Hoon’s social media.” He apologized, saying, “The actor himself was very surprised, and he is very sorry for making such a mistake in these times. I will be careful not to make something like this happen again.”
Looking at the post that Park Sung-hoon uploaded, it is not a ‘regram’ of the photo he received via DM, but a post that he saved to his mobile device and uploaded directly. So why on earth did Park Sung-hoon keep the AV cover?
On the 31st, a BH Entertainment official explained to Donga.com, saying, “I received the AV cover via DM, and in the process of passing it on to the person in charge of the company, I downloaded the photo. I should have saved it, sent it to the person in charge, and deleted it right away, but it was uploaded by mistake.”
It seems that the reason Park Sung-hoon kept the AV cover has been explained, although it is a bit shabby. However, it is expected that he will not be able to avoid criticism because the process of posting it on SNS stories is not simple enough to say that it was uploaded ‘by mistake.’
