If you are a male Korean celebrity and are on the Male Role Model list I expect at least to be critical of the misogyny that happens on your country. Exactly, stupid kpop fanwars aside, the stories coming out of Korea some even very recently have been horrendous. Someone who hasn't even spoken up about those issues or EVER talked about violence faced by women should not be mentioned like this.

You can always count kppopies to act absolutely butthurt over a list as long as they can bash a BTS member.

We are not surprised to see the usual suspects.

Even if you have a problem with the list, why not complain to the Organisation who made it? This is not a list based on self-made applications.

RM did not apply for this, he did not "accept" it since this is not an award either. It just a list. He is literally enlisted right now so in what World does he has any control over this?

Because his own fandom is compromised of some of the most rampant, harmful misogyny in the entire K-Pop community and he has made zero effort to address or suppress it in any way? Artists can't be held completely accountable for their fandoms, but they're not completely absolved of responsibility either, since they have more impact and influence on their fans than any other individual.

I did not say RM should be condemned in any way, but the pushback and/or negative reaction to him or any BTS member being recognized for anything related to female empowerment is perfectly valid and understandable, when their own fandom exhibits some of the ugliest, nastiest and trashiest behavior towards women without any attempt from them to curve it

Well... I know that he has recommended the feminist book "Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982" by Cho Namjoo (I have read that book and think that it is a good recommendation)
