NewJeans have the best longevity of any girl group in K-Pop History and it isn't particularly close

    When it comes to longevity of song chartings i totally agree. They are definitely the top when it comes to chart longevity but it has gone down over time as observed with Super Shy & ETA (but rebound with MHJ vs HYBE 🥳). We shall also observe the charting for How Sweet & Supernatural. Bubblegum and right now so far are not that good though ... but How Sweet has some legs on the top10

    How Sweet literally has been in the top 10 longer than Super Shy, and is tied with OMG. It will be a top 3 song for NewJeans in terms of top 10 longevity.

    Why is this thread aggroing EXO-Ls of all fandoms? I even specified girl groups, and EXO was never known for being massive digital powerhouses either.

    its so sad what the drama has done. Everyone was so hyped up for a full album comeback and a world tour. Imagine all the records they could have broken this year had this not happened.

    Actually it is the reflection of their own era, because we can't compare 4th gen era with 3rd gen, let alone the 2nd gen. Saying, they have the best longevity of ANY Kpop girl group in HISTORY is just mad!


    Do you know why inflation exists and why we adjust it to Box Office numbers when it comes to Movies? We should do the same with charting as well.

    THIS is why we can't compare older generation with new ones, especially when Streaming became a trend in the 3rd gen, and now it's much bigger than ever!

    For the record they will NEVER reach the heights of SNSD, maybe on charts and album sales, sure, but nothing else. SNSD did something that no other girl group did. You can't recreate that! Even if they will survive this lame ass Kdrama, their hype will fade away eventually.


    Like it or not, these new Kpop fans are not as loyal as the 2nd and even the 3rd gen fans.
