is 1st day really finish ?
i knew there would be a drop in sales cuz all the group faced a drop in sales
but the drop in sales started in october-november 2023 and easy was realeased in february 2024 and it didn't feel like it had a big impact on them
but seeing the drop in sales for crazy is shocking and i can't find any explanation to it
is it perhaps because it's a friday release ??
Based on the numbers of 4th gen girl groups, only Aespa and IVE didn't have a decrease.
Friday is a normal day. The worst album sale days are the weekends: Saturday and Sunday.
Either HYBE/Source messed up something, or people really didn't pre-order their albums. The 1st week numbers will tell all.
Stop being dramatic
Sales rise later but it won't be as high as anything release in 2022-23
These numbers ARE dramatic. This is 80% of their biggest 1st day sale, and 70% of their last cb.
UNFORGIVEN: 1,024,034
EASY: 783,358
ANTIFRAGILE: 408,833
CRAZY: 195,264🆕
FEARLESS: 176,861
Weekend counts, but it's the lowest.

Even if that's true, their numbers wouldn't be much higher. It happened to many groups multiple times, and the numbers weren't much higher.
Didn't they have some controversy with one of the producer? I think I've read LSF fans saying they have to boycott the title track or one of the song on the album.

aespa did have a decrease
for spicy they sold 1M first day
but for drama and armaggedon they did
the problem with aespa and SM groups in general in comparison of their peers who saw a decrease
is that right at the moment of the decrease they also change their music distributor to kakaotalk
and since drama people have face a lot of struggle with aespa album
( just as an example the shop in my city where i usually buy aespa album, have all the version of My world available, 1-2 version of Drama, and when i wet last week to buy armaggedon they told me that they didn't receive the album in their shop
which is pretty crazy because since Savage era have always bought my akbul there, and they were always very quick to have them)
so is aespa hit by the sudden decrease that kpop group are facing or did aespa decrease come from a problem of distributor ?
because weirdly kpop gg for example who are losing a lot of international fans and casual fans like idle and ive (as their international charting show) saw no decrease in sales
but gg who have been cementing their local and international fandom and have increase it like nj, lsrf, aespa, all faced a decrease in sales

Bullshit. IVE has no US distribution so please done try to pull bs. Aespa has much as versions they used to have in the past but they were carried by c-bars so their drop was significant. IVE has a bigger fanbase in Korea and Japan than Aespa which are their biggest markets.

I can see why fans like to engage in these rivalries. As long as it's just kept to banter, it's pretty fun to see the reactions. I should probably choose sides

Anyway, I agree that first week sales will be more indicative of its true standing. But LSF isn't a nugu group, so I don't know how much more people expect these to grow.

I have a question are those new cd players of Armageddon that SM created counting for album sales?

My guess is it is not counted towards album sales cause SM said that they will start shipping from July, and they definitely had 1m+ sales from cdp version which also was crazy expensive! In first sold out time they had 700k+ copies sold, and they opened 2 another times and both of them were also sold out
And I didn’t see those CDP versions in Hanteo real time charts

Not it's not
Bc it happen to 127 literally this year too
They were being bashed the same way then it rise thru the week, it even happen on a Tuesday/Monday to them
It may have happen to other groups but I don't keep with them to know
-
Crazy is their first Friday release, iirc don't know how weekend sales are, but probably Monday is the big jump.
Easy did a million after inflation subdued, but once Crazy take off, they will continue to sell off.

I hope they also drop a Japanese single later in the year, it will hit 250k+ Japan is the goldmine right now.
