Asia Brand Research Institute, a Big Data Evaluation Agency, Announced That NewJeans Was Selected as Number One in the Idol Group Category of the ‘K-Brand Index'

  • The institute said, "NewJeans are leading the K-pop revival by setting an unusual record of having all five albums released since their debut in July 2022 become million sellers. In particular, NewJeans is expanding its influence by establishing a solid position in the United States and Japan, the two largest markets in the global music market."

They continued, "Not only did NewJeans' single title song 'Supernatural' rank 32nd on the U.S. Billboard Global Chart, but NewJeans, who recently debuted in Japan, also caught attention by breaking the record for the shortest period of time for a foreign artist to enter Tokyo Dome. Furthermore, NewJeans member Hanni's performance of Matsuda Seiko's 'Blue Coral Reef' received favorable reviews and created a syndrome throughout Japan."

The K-Brand Index is a big data system developed by the Asia Brand Research Institute in collaboration with domestic and international researchers. Unlike existing big data analysis systems, it is conducted based on verification by a field-specific advisory committee from candidate sample extraction to index selection. In particular, the K-Brand Index has been verified for its high reliability by presenting a big data comparison ranking of the survey results in six popular culture sectors announced by Korea Gallup last month.

  • Good for them, and they celebrated this with Kanye.

I mean, seriously, there's no one around them who could educate these girls about what's going on in our world?

I'm not talking about only NJ, because members of 2NE1, AESPA and TREASURE were also there and Tokkies wonder why people starting to dislike them. I honestly don't get why people can't see that MHJ ruins their image. First the Coke ad, then openly supporting MHJ, and not this?

I'll admit, I don't read much about celebs, but even I know how toxic and disgusting Kanye is.

  • 1. Half the damn industry was there at that concert. Start disliking KIOF too while you're at it.

    2. NewJeans had already been endorsing coke and McDonald's for over a year, long before the war started. Again, half the industry has done campaigns or been caught with brands on the bds list because nobody cares.

    3. The only people "starting to dislike them" are company stans. We don't care about them :nj-15:

    1. Did I only mention NJ? No! Why are you talking about others? I literally said many other Idols were there. Even my own faves as well, as you said it. 2NE1, Aespa, and I'm not sure about KIOF, I only see Natty posting about him, but that's all. But KIOF fans asked her to delete the post, and she did it.

    2. Long before the War started? Uhm, sorry, but did you skip school? The War didn't start yesterday, it's ongoing for DECADES! For the record, I don't blame Idols for doing CF's with brands, I always said, they don't really have a say in that, I blame their company and MHJ. It's basically a career suicide, or can be, especially for a mainstream group/artist.

On Twitter people were furious about many Idols, but I always said, it doesn't really matter and anyone who complains about these things are hypocrites, because 99% of our population bought something from those brands people want to boycott. That was just an example, why their so called "brand rep" is flopping.

    3. I wouldn't say, it's only company stans. There are regular Kpop fans as well, or even non-Kpop fans, too. And as I said, it's not just NJ, this is about many other celebs all-around the world.

Lastly: I don't dislike anyone, but it's bloody obvious that these celebs are either don't care or just really clueless, and I can't imagine that they don't know anything, especially about Kanye if they love him. I mean, I'm not gonna say, they should stop loving his music or the guy, but I think they shouldn't promote him or be at his concerts, because the fact is that this guy is a garbage "human" being. Racist, abuser, not to mention n-zi supporter.

So, my comment was not against any of these Idols, I'm just disappointed how ignorant these people are, and we live in 2024, it's not 18th century.

  • I don't give a ****.

You know perfectly well what I mean by last year just like you know the vast majority of people didn't know about the BDS list before October.

I'm not getting into that and risking an appreciation thread getting dumped into politics section purgatory.

Hate MHJ all you want, I definitely do, but like I said, the coke ad was not decision taken to knowingly tank their image, it's them working for a band they've been under contract with for over a year.

You are more than welcome to try this dumbassery in a Somi, NCT, aespa, BTS, KIOF, Ive or Blackpink thread and see where it gets you

  • So you don't care that your faves supporting a N-zi supporter? Good for you, I guess.

Do not do this bullshit in my topics. I said what I said. I don't give a damn about the idiocy related to the Kanye West concert attended by several artists and tens of thousands of people.

Go make your own thread if you want to yap about that.

  • I never blamed them for the Coke ad, I said I blame MHJ and the company.

I don't care if people disagree with me, I don't like when my own faves doing shit like this. I won't attack them like many other people, sending them threats or worse, but if they do something I really hate, I won't support them anymore.

For example. Mamamoo had some problems with blackface in their early years, and I didn't like it, they were ignorant as hell, they apologized, and I moved on. Bigbang was one of my biggest fave boy group. After the Burning Sun crap, I don't think I've ever listened to any of their songs.

I see no point arguing about these things with Kpop stans, because most of them are just as ignorant as their faves.

Anyway, I hate politics, so I will stop here.
