I think there is a lot going on but I am glad she apologized. The apology letter seems vague and hard to read for some reason. Which means she actually wrote it herself.

Koreans are treating this as if Seulgi misgendered her manager. Some would say it’s not a big deal, mistakes happens. Except that power imbalance between someone with more privileges over a common worker is a sensitive issue in Korea. There’s a whiff of it here.
