Currently it’s between IVE, Gidle and Aespa only as they’re top 4 with New jeans Baby monster is too new and tbh I don’t trust ILLIT’s (and HYBE girl groups in general) achievements at all. ILLIT’s engagement, views everything’s so low but they somehow magically have high sales and domestic and internationally charting

Ive's popularity is still #2 after NJ despite their chart performance currently falls under some of their peers. If we talk about successful, than that's different conversation

People are really suffering from recency bias, plus aespa is benefitting from a big amount of public goodwill because so many people hate BSH in SK right now and much was made of him supposedly hating aespa. If they can stay on top after NewJeans comes back (who also are getting a lot of love for the same reasons (in addition to the typical love)) then I'd consider them for #2. But IVE having one "flop" song peak at 320k ULs and #2 on Melon isn't enough for me to give up on them yet.

I would also put LSF below all three of those others, and I would have never put them at #2 at any point, they've always been overestimated by ifans (domestically that is) because of how well-liked they are with them. Their one big #1 song, Perfect Night, never even got to 275k ULs.

However, I think the main reason I would put them so low is because MHJ, whether purposefully or not, really damaged their image over the past few weeks, and they are getting so much hate these days (well that and the whole encore thing). Not just online, but anyone I've talked to about them just has nothing but mean things to say about them.

Wonyoung and Yujin i feel give IVE too much staying power to bet against them here.
