Thats the crux. The members have a tightrope to walk and cant be hasty in picking a "team", lest the team they pick be revealed to be the bad team.

I get that, and the look and feel of NewJeans might shift.
But as a purely corporate view of things, it would probably be the best for Hybe.
As opposed to MHJ somehow winning and absconding with the girls or MHJ losing, Hybe cutting the girls go and other companies snapping them up

Because Kpop fans don't actually care about the business politics of companies, they only care that their biases are making a comeback.
On the other hand, Investors are very fickle to such events.

Hybe is really destroying K-pop, look, he has shown that he can create any K-pop group and make it successful, meaning any mediocre product under Hybe's wing can be successful.
