I predict How Sweet will do stronger numbers than Bubble Gum, and Bubble Gum will snap in Japan especially with the GP, it could well be compete with Magnetic there.

Also, remember this is a double single release, and Supernatural and Right Now are following it.

The roll out is normal for japan, as for the CF song, it technically is, but at the same time, they are considered full songs that are attached to a CF, not a CF song thats being released as a single(is that makes sense)

niziu's discography is over half CF songs/anime titles/etc , its much more normal in japan

Exactly, sometimes it's the cf that promotes the songs rather than the opposite. For the most part. At least, the cf is a tool to reach higher levels of publicity and exposure.

It's apparently common is Japan and I'm pretty sure MHJ is gonna use this methode on NJ as well everywhere not just in Japan. Actually ETA was already something like that.

(tho she shouldn't over use it, specially on more emotional songs like Ditto because it's takes away some elements of authenticity)

regarding of the question, everybody is talking about hybe payola (sometimes for very pertinent reasons), but what about kakao payola ?

(all of it is hypothetical) for example, since sm signed in kakao, sm acts have hardly flopped, for the most part. By some obscuuure miracle . when you look at the songs that flopped HARD on spotify but dominated the charts in korea such as to x, love 119, baddie, etc you can only genuinely question how organic they actually are.

anyway, regarding of payola or not, i predict that Ive are gonna dethrone Magnetic at last in korea / melon. Weither it will be organic or not, payola or not, im pretty sure Startship/Kakao are going to use this occasion of dominating a 'big' hybe GG in melon, mostly aslo as part of their Ive top gg mediaplay to restore their image after the baddie/either way semi flop.

I suspected that kakao would have 'helped' them reach this fit on NJ, (even if it meant pushing them over by one spot only), but now, kakao/Starship may more conveniantly use Illit for that purpose .

Illit might become of a sorta punching ball, in a sorta divine justice for Bangs greed and pride. All these major album release in the west might bury them on the billboard, and Ive/Kakao and maybe even Idle do the same in Korea. Until NJ comback will definitly knock the coffin.

But for NJ, the real deal will probably start next year, after their full album release. I suspect these spring / summer comback are mainly cattered to the korean/japanese market and the real action is gonna happen in the last quarter of 2024 .

Illit's whole sinister music career was stolen from New Jeans, so they're the ones who need to be counting their days of relevancy, Magnetic was stolen from Min Heejin's demo bank. My queens NewJeans will reign supreme over all of 4th and 5th gen and continue to give inspiration to these flop copycats. I still love Magnetic, though, that's my jam to this day.
