You all aren’t good at the same thing, LOONA, txt, whoever. They are marketed as all rounders but we all know Chuu is the main vocalist and Yeonjun is the main rapper. Positions matter because it helps the company market their idols better and producers to know what’s best for the idol in a song. Their is no group that is good at everything #companiesstopthelying
Groups that have no positions are stupid

I agree 100%
You can almost always figure the positions out yourself. Positions also give reasoning for center time, line distribution, screen time, etc.
-
TREASURE is good at everything
-
Yeah, there will never truly be a group of all rounders, no matter what the company says
-
Positions aren't that serious imo.
-
How about every position instead of no position?

I agree. I understand why stans like to pretend all members have the same positions, they hate the fact some idols were pick to be visuals or sub vocalists, but this is how kpop groups are chosen
Companies may not officially assign positions but generally is blatantly obvious everyone's position
-
Producers don't need to know positions to make a song...
-
It's not stupid, but I can agree about the part where you can tell who does what. If the only member who gets dance breaks and raps (if the song has one) is Yeonjun, he's the main dancer and main rapper by inference. Taehyun and HueningKai are the main and lead vocals, Soobin is leader, Beomgyu is visual and center.
All of them can dance at a high level, and Yeonjun is a capable vocalist on his own.

I lowkey agree. If anything it causes more arguments among the fandom, whether or not "x member" is a certain position or not.
I don't think positions are really worth arguing over anyway. Who cares whether an idol is "lead vocalist" or "main dancer" or whatnot?

If what they do works for the song, I'm all for it lol

Come on, positions are so stupid. All they do is create confusion and drama like "___ is a main vocalist yet they have more rap parts than __ who is a main rapper", like...
There are groups, believe it or not, who are full of members who can perfectly take the role of a main dancer, main vocalist and main rapper all at once. Also, groups where members keep switching from having rap parts to vocal to more dance focused parts. Such groups don't need positions as they'll keep on changing with every comeback
-
The confusion is understandable, but I feel like the talent should just speak for itself. The best dancer shouldn’t need the main dancer title if it’s evident otherwise. You don’t need a certain title to fill a certain role in the group. But at the same time I understand the thought process behind set positions.
