She is still #1. But there is a reason why YG stopped her from releasing that Matt Champion song for 3 years, so if she starts doing more of the same, she wont be much longer.
-
nope, she still runs the global scene
-
-
What? Her wearing hoop earrings made noise more than some nugu comebacks.

Only the It Girl can end herself

To be fair, the collab sucks and the concept of the variety show is pretty boring. That's not entirely on her. But to say she's not an IT girl anymore is a big reach
-
I'm FAR from being a fan of Jennie or her group, BUT it's not her fault that the variety show is a flop. You can invite God himself, people won't watch it if it's crap. "HER" show on HBO flopped too, because it was garbage, not because of her. "HER" new music is a flopping too, but again, not because of her. For the record, in this case, flop means, she's not performing as she usually does.
About the "It Girl" status: It's just a stupid title, doesn't mean anything. Every "It Girl" loses their power eventually, because people focusing on the new shiny toys, that's how the world works.
That's why I said: Don't care about meaningless stats and titles, in a long-term, it doesn't mean much. The only thing that matters if she can keep her CORE audience for decades! That's the real success, not holding onto stupid titles for a couple of years.

It’s the inevitable slow decline. Just like Lee Hyori, still popular but nowhere near her it girl era
-
the variety show has to do with the cast even knetz pointed that out lol if anything she made it do a bit better but she is not gonna change the perception of the show or cast that people lost interest in.. Op are you a troll like I thought this was made but a troll..
the music that was released is not even her song it's a feature from 3 years back with no promo. you are acting like she released her solo comeback song and it's floping
-
She needs to make another song with The Weeknd. Abel can save her

This is actually probably the best example. Lee Hyori is so famous that before i liked kpop i still knew her name, and by the time i was into kpop she wasnt even actively promoting.
However i would never deny her fame or cultural impact

not sure if you are being sarcastic but when one of the girls dropped it tanked really bad and people were blaming it on her but once it started to gain traction on tiktok ( and a lot it has to do with her) now it's thanks to him? lol the song just happen to go viral and fans are focused streaming it too
this random collab without promo is doing well for what it is
