This group is from F&F Entertainment, a direct subsidiary of F&F Clothing Company, which is wealthier and larger than the Big 3 but slightly smaller than Hybe. This marks their foray into the entertainment industry. Unlike Kakao or CJ, who aren't directly involved with their K-pop groups, F&F is hands-on. With Unis already have a substantial following in Southeast Asia and quite strong social media engagement that even surpassed Illit's hype, their debut actually might be bigger than people expected. In terms of hype in Korea, neither group is faring well.
F&F has a great track record in marketing their products, so I believe they can use that to make their group really successful. This group is expected to debut around the same time as Illit, in March. It seems like they have stronger and likeable lineup for their debut compared to Illit, which gives them an advantage.
So, this group already has a rich company backing them, along with good hype. The only thing they lack is strong support from company stans like the big 4 have. However, they already have significant support from fans in Southeast Asia, so if they can maintain that, it will be a great start for them.
