Gidle need to drop the feminism gimmick.

They need to move on, not because it's bad, but because they should not repeat themselves indefinitely.

With Tomboy, Nxde and Queencard, I think they succeeded each time at presenting a feminist theme with an interesting twist and nuance. Super Lady on the other hand is very straightforward. There's not much left to the imagination. And in terms of genre, they went with EDM, which is already the genre the most associated to girl crush concepts.

So there's no room to move forward anymore on that lane. They reached the end of the road. Next time they need to do something else entirely in my opinion.

And it's even truer if Super Lady ends its charting career as a failure.

Queencard was cute, sexy and a public friendly repeatable song. An outlier.

They lost more male fans than gained female fans this comeback. Doing both sexy and feminist at some point becomes hypocritical.

No I like the concept and currently Korea really needs feminism,the fact that g-idle has a say in their music it makes their whole concept even more genuine

EXACTLY! It's not about the message. It's like when people complaining about movies and tv shows when female or POC characters are the main lead. If the song (movie or show) is good, nobody will give a damn about anything else. It's not easy to create something that everyone likes. It's impossible, actually.

When an artist (not just musicians) want to create something for the people, and not for themselves, it's basically the end of their journey as an artist. Maybe some people are dumb as hell, but they know when something wasn't made by love, it was made only to please the audience or to make the "artist" successful and hyped. That's why overhyped "musicians" will fade away eventually, and 10-20 years later, nobody will remember them.
