I think 1st and 2nd gen stans just... miss their glory days? Does that make sense? Thats why they kinda get mad if you don't know anything about their fav groups, seems kinda sad when you think about it like that

tbh it goes both ways. 3rd/4th gen stans should stop belittling 2nd gen achievements and impact, many idols became idols because they were inspired by 2nd gen groups. I'm not gonna say they "paved the way"(because that topic is very controversial), but at least acknowledge that KPOP didn't start with Gangnam Style or whatever.
And also, 2nd gen stans should stop belittling 3rd gen achievements and shoving 2nd gen history down everyone's throats. 2nd gen might've had lots of impact back in the day, but that doesn't mean that what these 3rd gen groups are achieving are not as impressive. No one is obligated to learn about the entirety of KPOP history and 2nd gen groups(especially if they only care for one group), and THAT'S OKAY.
Both sides are in the wrong here but this battle will go on forever until both sides accept this fact.
