Puberty changes some people's looks drastically. And when they become young adults, they naturally shade their baby fat and look even more different.
Then makeup gives them the final change.

From the rulebook 'how to know the people who love to talk PS and PS accuse idols for every possible feature are disingenuous and only want to shade', checklist tip #1 and #2:
#1 the K-pop 'fans' who love to talk PS and claim every possible feature of an idol has changed bc of PS love to discuss other idols, but not their own biases regarding PS changes
#2 the people with malicious intent will always use the same, most unflattering child/teen pics of the target idol to 'prove' their target has done PS, and will always ignore all the other child and teen pics of that idol that show that idol was already very pretty or had that feature already when they were young teens
Apply these guidelines to any PS discussion, and see how well and to what degree they stick.
Additionally, dragging a tweet with barely any views to here to trigger a discussion is already sus by itself.
If you're going to discuss plastic surgery, do it the right way. Take interest in facial aesthetics instead of just saying anything.
Since this is the comparison being referenced... She's making two completely different facial expressions and her face is at two different angles. What kind of comparison is that? Of course she'll look different; anyone would. The makeup is also obviously different.
And if you're referring to this... It seems to me there may have been work done to her eyelids, but that's the biggest change. People underestimate how drastic of a difference the eye area makes. It's arguably the most important part when it comes to facial attractiveness on an objective level. I learned about this. People keep mentioning her jawline, but if anything, I think it looks even more chiseled in the "before" photos you see here. Giselle is one of those people whose face looks puffy one day and then slim the next. It fluctuates. She likely had some procedures, but nothing as drastic as people love to claim. The way people talk about her, you'd think she got plastic surgery to create a chiseled, skinny, contoured face with prominent bone structure like Taeyeon's face. But obviously, that's not the case.
You don't need to wonder if threads targeting idols like this are ever made in good faith - they never are. And that mean-spiritedness that fueled this thread says much more about creator than the idols they're trying to pick on.
