    1. HYBE, they’re crazy ba$tards, they’ve lost their minds

    2. Isn’t that price too high for Jangchung?

    3. I really hate HYBE

    4. Is HYBE really crazy? They sell tickets for 200,000 won regardless of the concert venue

    5. Doesn’t this group have more male fans than female fans? Do they spend money…?

    6. It seems like K-Pop will die out because of HYBE

    7. 200,000 won in Jangchung? ㄷㄷㄷㄷㄷㄷ

    8. Isn’t it more expensive than BLACKPINK’s? Crazy

    9. Seriously, the ticket prices are crazy

    10. Is this group popular?

  • seems like normal ticket costs 117 USD

    and VIP costs 152 USD

I know that average salary in South Korea is around 3000 USD

for comparison average salary here in Poland is around half of that what they get in SK, we get less than 1500 bucks

so honestly I don't know if it's that much, maybe someone who goes to concerts in Korea or Japan can say and compare

  • Those seem like massive bargain prices, Koreans seem clueless about concert prices and the entire concert experience tbh. I see them sitting like robots, half with smartphones and half with bongs. Zero energy.

TBF it's happening here as well, fans more concerned with their darn smartphones then just jumping around screaming lyrics and having fun. Although that could also be a byproduct of the sleep inducing dentist office muzak we have masquerading as pop songs these days, how can anyone be expected to truly have fun with these kinda songs lol.

I feel another boomer rant incoming and 72975 links to concerts from the 80s coming so i'll just end it here. :v-drink-tea:

  • It's the normal price now ? Are the Korean tickets usually cheaper than in the West?

seems like Knetz still didn't woke up and didn't learnt that ticket prices skyrocketed after covid-10 pandemic

domestic kpop concerts have always been much cheaper as they don't have to spend on logistics of shipping equipment, staff, etc. domestic kpop fans are used to paying like 150K max for VIP and 80-100K for general seating.

  • They’re dramatics but they’re kinda right. Fromis isnt as relevant as LSR and NJ to charge with the same prices.

While for other countries 100 dollars is far in Korea tickets used to be less than $100, add the fact it’s local artists and no international acts which doesn’t justify the prices.

  • I think $117 is a bit on the high end for a 5k capacity venue.

$152 for VIP is a great price, but this is coming from someone who lives in the US and is used to people charging $250+ for VIP (and that's from mid tier artists...don't get me started on the mega stars).

I think the problem here is that there don't seem to be any lower range tickets. Or maybe they just aren't included here? Tickets for mid range artists in the US usually range from $50 - $300 (VIP with fees). I can understand not wanting to pay $117 for nose bleeds.

it won't be a 5k capacity arena tho...

remember how kpop concerts look and I will post here a photo from this arena

there is always that big led, and space for stage is needed

this way some of sectors behind screen and on the side of it are always closed

plus there must be place on the floor for the 'stage' to walk on, and dance on for Idols so...

  • That makes the ticket prices worse?

The smaller the venue, the cheaper the tickets are supposed to be.

it's the opposite at least here in Poland

for example it makes tickets more exclusive and pricey if the capacity is smaller

I think here they wouldn't complain if it would be a one day concert

but it's two day show so they are complaining

  • The smaller venue more expensive tickets only applies when well known artists play smaller venues here in the US. Kind of like when Twice (who sells out stadiums) has fanmeets with 5k capacity. You expect those tickets to be more expensive than usual because there is high demand with limited supply.

However, on the other hand, when most artists play a smaller venue it is because you can't sell bigger venues. Artists who cannot sell out bigger venues should not be charging the same amount as artists who are selling bigger venues. Their demand probably won't meet the supply.

I feel like Fromis will probably sell out at least one of their shows since they seem to have the fanbase for it. But, I can understand why K-netz are surprised at them charging so much for such a small venue. Especially if it's a 2-day regular concert.

  • Wha??? The math ain't mathing with you :pepestare:

I don't get what you're not understanding lol?

You don't pay the same amount to go see an artist at a theater that you would pay to go see an artist at a stadium or arena.

At least not in LA. If you're going to the Novo for a show, you're paying $50 to $150 max. If you're going to the Greek Theatre, you're paying $50 to $250 max. And if you're going to Crypto, you're paying $70 - $300+.

Of course, this can vary based on the artist, but if an artist is playing at the Novo (a 2k venue), it's because they probably cannot play at the Greek theatre. They don't have the fanbase for it, which is reflected in their ticket prices. It's simple supply and demand. Smaller artists charge less for their tickets than bigger artists...I don't know how things work where you are, but that's typically how things go at the venues I've gone to.

  • You don't pay the same amount to go see an artist at a theater that you would pay to go see an artist at a stadium or arena.

Yes, cause you obviously pay more. In stadiums there a lots of far away seats that you can sell for 50$ but in theaters every seat is a premium experience and the artist still wants to make money. So you're basically being sold better experience while the artists loses on capacity, the margin is definitely being paid by you.

Those are all still theaters tho.

What does that have to do with anything I am saying?

Like I previously mentioned, Fromis charging $117 - $150 for theater seats is well within the range of what you would expect to pay at a theater.

HOWEVER, most theater seats also have a lower range ticket that ranges at $50 and increases from there based on how far you are from the stage. It's weird that they do not offer that lower range. Especially for a smaller venue which already lends itself to lower ticket prices based on the capacity and the level of the artists that usually play there.
