It says that i listened to this song 152 times because i had to listen to a downloaded music video version for like 2 weeks when it came out but 💁‍♀️ this song honestly still haunts me. The instrumental alone is enough too hook me, but the layer of the vocals being really skillfully placed over top, the way it feels like you’re sucked into the chorus, the desperation throughout the song? Very hopeless romantic.

Technically number 2 is NewJeans NewJeans but like… lets be real thats an intro to the album, but i did listen to it full through because its so catchy.

they keep on asking me who is he. This song feels like it came out yesterday and a hundred years ago. Its still so fresh and i love listening to it so much but at the same time so much has happened for NewJeans between it feels like a lifetime ago. The trap beat, the electronic piano, the garage sound? Undeniable.
