  • it makes sense, haram in arabic means forbidden, having haram as a name would be weird

her real name tho is Shin Haram

it's not her fault and also people from muslim countries could always also learn a bit more about other culture and understand

it's not like anyone stole that word from them

ps: I think it's more because we already have one active Haram

  • It's her name but kpop being global might influence some decisions. Nobody blames muslims, they never said a word about it. No idea why you attacked them

I only know groups that are talked about here but we'll have at least three active yunas: snsd yoona, itzy yuna, I'll it yunah. They are all pronounced the same, they just choose different spelling. How many minjus we have? I don't think that's a big deal

  • it's for searching and hashtag too.
earlier today i see a pic of haram teaser and im confused coz its not released yet, so i search on twitter. searching only haram will get you nothing related.
searching with 'babymonster haram' kinda not work too unless the post include 'babymonster' in it.

I didn't attack anyone, you mentioned arabic so I've just responded a bit

yeah but look there are some agencies that don't care

also those are stage names but for example

    SNSD Yoona - 임윤아

    ITZY Yuna - 신유나

    Dumbest comment i read here

What muslim have to do here when nobody talked about muslim 😑😑😑

YG probably just wanted to give her more exposure by making her debut with a name not use in kpop

Cuz if she debuted if the name haram she would have lost among the many haram promoting in korea

While now if a korean search for rami he'll probably saw some picture of ex-sm rookie lami but she now go with her real name

So she'll now be the only result if someone search for rami which is a good reason to change her name

When you commercialize a new product you don't want that when someone look for this product, it's lost among 10 other different product because of its similar name

"Nobody talked about muslim" really? Didn't you see that the poster you replied was a reply to anothr poster saying they changed her name because of the meaning in arabic? And you also ended up giving the same reason as bartkun for the change to a stage name, great "dumbest comment" post

Edited once, last by vicll ().

  • You did attack them. You said "people from muslim countries could always also learn a bit more about other culture and understand" like muslims complained about her name and they said nothing, it was my comment, i said it. and I'm not muslim

    My bad then sorry.

I guess it's probably lack of knowledge on my side. Here in Poland it's kind of arabic = muslim. In terms of people who speak arabic language are muslim.

    Sorry again.

  • Glad they changed it because some kpop fans are calling her halal to insult her or something!

here tbh it's not really an insult, it's the name indo baemon fans jokingly use to call her bcs haram have some negative connotation (muslim countries obv. get this), im glad tho she got a new stage name plus she wont get overlapped with billlie's haram
