I guess we can bury all the "new Twice" conversations

  • Nobody is doing it like Twice did. Absolutely nobody.

Ive already struggling with like their what 5th comeback? New Jeans associated concert had to downsize, and that's after yall were saying selling out stadiums is not a big deal anymore and Twice are just riding "kpop" success. Well, here we are, turns out that wasn't the case. And that's with all the L's Twice has actually been taking with those pathetic releases recently.

And this ain't me dunking on these younger groups, I wish them all to reach the heights never seen before. But yall are just so obnoxious with your anti Twice agenda that yall have literally entrapped yourselves into some echo chamber and making dumb statement about this and that gg beating Twice.

  • twice and bp already cultivated a huge following before ive and nj existed. if 4th gen wants to catch up, they still have a mountain of work ahead of them. just seems weird to say bp and twice are old news. pretty clear both groups still have a lot of gas in the tank

  • NJ haven't even started their own tour yet lol

MetLife Stadium is too much lol it has over 80k in attendance. None of the 4th gen groups are ready for that yet. The whole mess-up is on KBS.

  • The failure of the attempted Immortal Song 2 concert at MetLife had nothing to do with NewJeans.

Most fans would rather wait for their actual first tour than spend hundreds of dollars for that poorly marketed and poorly organized overpriced mess.

Only crazy fans like me with the budget to throw disposable income at Kpop bought tickets for that show.

  • True. Some of these fourth gen fans run their mouth when their groups haven’t accomplished the level of success and longevity of their senior groups. They act like it’s easy but it takes time to build a loyal and solid fanbase.

This is a hilarious take to me, because some of "these fourth gen fans" are also third gen fans or even second gen fans. And as someone who falls into all three of those categories, I can unequivocally say third gen fans did the exact same thing during the peak of their generation.

Or maybe I just imagined all the BlackJack/BLINK and Sone/Once wars from back in the day.

In other words, this ain't a behavior unique to fans of 4th gen groups in the slightest, and I find it a little hypocritical when people pretend otherwise.

  • This is the kind of thread some Sones would have made in 2017 when Signal didn't top the charts the week it was released or in 2019 when Feel Special happened, and you'd be the first one jumping on it, I love it.

I'd like to know how Ive is struggling exactly when they have a song at #3 and the others are in the top 20 and rising.

Regarding NJs like already mentioned the Immortal song thing was not related to NJs popularity, the whole thing was a mess. They're breaking almost every record left and right both in Korea and internationally in a span of a year and you can check the Lollapalooza videos if you're worried about their popularity in the US.

Twice are legends and one of the biggest ggs ever, they don't need to be ''defended'' like this.

  • The immortal songs thing wasn't new jeans dude. I wouldn't pay that much money to see twice for like 15 minutes. The immortal songs people vastly overestimated the popularity of their show concept given the groups would only have minutes on stage

  • you spilled but dreamer would hate to see it 🤧

  • Signal still got like allkill or smth, so it is not even close.
