Changed the title of the thread from “JYP groups keep flopping because they always copy other groups, first Nmixx, now Newjeans and Blackswan” to “JYP groups keep flopping because they always copy other groups, first Aespa, now Newjeans and Blackswan”. -
VCHA is not copying nwjns in any way lmao... they did a schoolgirl concept for YOUniverse. Plus Y2K concept existed before nwjns. They just made it popular. Same with ITZY concept. These concepts all existed before these groups and the groups that they're accusing to be the original. JYP groups aren't flopping either. Twice is still the most popular girl group behind blackpink. Stray Kids just broke the record of most preorders of a kpop album ever and i believe sold the 2nd most albums EVER with 5-Star. NMIXX had lmlt which was everywhere. ITZY is still a popular group.

Copying is a myth in K-pop.

You mean Twice is flopping?
Accuesing JYP to only "copying other groups" is a bit stupid, because you will allways have an other groups with a similar concept. It's not like groups like Aespa and NewJeans are very different compared to other kpop groups and you need to selecet a concept that you think the current kpop fans will like. I mean what kind of "unique" realistic concept have not been tested yet ?
I don't think JYP believes that every group they have will be a huge sucess like Twice was, they are instead "spaming" with girlgroups with a big different concepts and see what will fly or not. That can be a problem because the resources are spread out and the groups compet against for the time in the spotlight.

I do agree jype mostly just copies whatever is trending at the moment, but in Vcha case I don't think there was an attempt to copy nj.
And yes, his groups are kind of flopping since they seem to be unable to top the charts like they used to do. Even then, that mostly affects the individual brand of the members, which doesn't make much difference since JYPE doesn't care about that anyway.
As long as they sell those albums, merchandise, tickets, and so on, I don't see the company changing their "strategy".
