Do you think your favorite group is well promoted?

Looking back, 2018 wasn't THAT bad. During first half of the year, they released a japanese full album and went for japanese tv for the first time (too late but still...), they went to Dubai for 'Power', performed at the Olympics Closing Cerimony, were on an on-going tour (their last good tour), EXO-CBX released and promoted an album while the other members (but Chanyeol) were exploring individual schedules through acting and variety shows.
Sure, DMUMT and Love Shot could have better promotions, but It's basically how most comebacks are handled at the end of the year and they at least performed on Gayos for the very last time too and went to variety show together, apart from music shows.
I think things were completely downhill from mid 2019 onwards when Ksoo and Xiumin went to military.

I think 65 percent of complaints by fans on TW about their faves' labels not promoting well is just copium for their faves flopping.
Unless you're coming from Big 4, your label probably has literal pennies to promote their faves. Their faves just gonna have to do it on their own, either with their charms or with a lucky break.
Among my faves, i see it the most with poor Woollim and Eunbi. So many Rubis hating on poor Woollim, even though Eunbi i think loves her CEO. Yet she is realistic enough to know that there is no money in Woolim, that she can't expect her label to spend millions to promote her. Woolim has no profitable act except her and even her profitability just took a hit with her big album sales drops.
Which means it is all on her to promote herself, which she has done spectacularly so far after her Waterbomb break. She's worked her ass off to go on every variety under the sun, including big YT channels and traditional programs like Amazing and Knowing. She got herself another potential mini breakthrough gig tomorrow with Ive in NYC. She will also be performing in TFMA awards.
I don't know If It still works like that, but when groups and soloists got a music show win, they used to bag some opportunities to promote at some events and gaining more exposure. Hope It happens for her.

Not my fave’s solos. It could be better. I wanted group level of promo for all of them
I mean as a group, BTS is well promoted but for their solos, its clear that they chose on how they want to promote their song and who they want to work with. BigHit could have done better for sure in some cases...
After reading J-hope's letter, I felt so bad and guilty because I was one of the ARMYs who complained about his decision...

Oh, It's refreshing to see a 13 years old group promoting on music shows and doing variety/fan content
Yasss they are hilarious omg

When I said promo I’m talking about minimum playlisting. How they release their comebacks and what shows they perform on has nothing to do with the label

2 of my ults are from YG and as most people know YG has this dungeon in which they get trapped for like a year or two and like when they do comeback is like with 2-5 new songs and like 3 leaked ones sometimes if we do get a full album(or they just copy and paste the songs they already have and added to an album you know nothing new), sometimes they get to be on music shows, we do have to pray for award shows to happen but yeah I think it's ok I mean uhh YG does seem like they are changing though I think they have started to realized they are kpop company again. for my faves in SM I will say good if I were not to count red velvet and exo(kinda), so it's good but on the lower side. JYP I will say ok for like groups. ngl I forgot what this thread was about I'm just listing companies now. I feel like Hybe is alright.

talking from whole group perspective
BP - hell NO
Aespa - no, but recently has improved
Lesserafim -yes definitely
Ive - yes, but lately slowed down/deteriorated. Now it seems like fans are hardcarrying the promotion for IVE instead
Newjeans - top tier promotion. Having a capable team is important for consistent success
