Having their own label doesn't help after all. Members are leaving the label.

Super Junior as a group has renewed their contract with SM Entertainment.
For individual activities, however, Eunhyuk, Donghae and Kyuhyun have decided to part ways with SM

They wanted to pay lower fees perhaps.

The current SM isnt the same SM they previously signed onto. Please expect the 1st and 2nd gen SM idols to gradually leave the label, BoA, TVXQ, SNSD (taeyeon also) etc
Gen 3 and 4 like RV and aespa likely stay cause i doubt they have strong attachment to LSM and gang. Winter might have strong attachment with YYJ but aespa is still so green and contract not up until few years later

The same reason some ppl prefer certain labels over others lol. No two companies are gonna operate the same and maybe another company is offering something more.
Not to mention, SM has to prioritize, they have a lot of idols where some make more money/more demand than others. One SUJU member might bring in the 6th most money and to them, that’s not a priority. Versus that same member moving to a small company, where they are higher up on the totem pole or maybe it’s a company where their idols/stars make around the same so it’s more evenly distribution of resources.
There are lots of career fields where changing companies every few years is best practice, because being new can mean you’re valued more instead of being with the old company that may take you for granted.
This isn’t really an indictment of SM, like i said, idols typically leave their companies, only SM seems to be able to keep their rosters for a long time. If something like most of members left or a group pulled a Beast/Highlight or Got7 are situations where management had to be beyond terrible for everyone involved (no matter popularity). Versus a most companies do, which is treat their money-makers better than the average members when it comes to opportunities.

If it's about having a strong attachment to LSM then it makes sense.

Everyone knows that celebrities often move to knew labels but,
I thought SM values main vocalists that bring in money, besides, Kyuhyun is also a variety king like most if not all of SUJU which makes them bankable. And that's how they got their own label. So one would expect SM to give them the best treatment possible given that having your own label limits SM micromanaging your career and such.

True, SNSD paved the way.
Lol! but seriously, it's just that I thought that having their own label meant that they'd have more freedom and creative control and all that but them moving shows that it's not what we think. It's different.

Creative control doesn't always mean access to more or better resources
They could have gotten offers from other labels providing better resources for their solos
