The story of aespa throwing first pitch on New York Yankees stadium becomes a mess instead of celebration

I think people just truly think that the edited and filtered pictures with professional lighting, hair, make up and climate control are the realistic standards of their idol favs because companies only allow that image to be released.

If the fans were given a realistic view of AT LEAST what the idol looked like and then we were told THAT was the beauty standard it would be somewhat more helpful for companies because their idols wouldn’t disappoint

People are really getting butthurt over some unflattering photos.

I'm sorry, but I doubt the Yankees social media team thought twice about trying to intentionally make Aespa look bad. They are used to photographing big hulking 6 ft dudes, and their focus is not on making those dudes look glamorous or AI.

If SM cared so much, they should have edited their own photos and submitted them (which they probably will from now on).

The girls look gorgeous anyways even minus the face smoothing, skin lightening, and even with the acne.

These SM stans really believe their biases LOOK EXACTLY like their hyper-enhanced photos/videos, so once they get a dose of reality they act out like this.

Of course Kpop fans going to focus on some negative comments about the pictures and ignore everything else that mattered as secondary news when the fans tweets avout the pitch got more buzz.

First the pitch news got positive reception by MYs and only later a knetizen post talked about these pictures negatively when they were never the fans’ concern. Then most if not all replies defended aespa.

That’s all there’s to it.

The pictures aren’t even shocking because Winter and Karina’s skin been like this before in different events which was perceived as normal (Giselle is the one who is known for her flawless skin when unedited photos like these appear for the group).

This is something that’s always been bothering me with Kpop fans especially, so I am going to rant a lot.

This. It was a nice day, the girls were enjoying, drinking beer, the only negative thing about the event is Giselle missing. Idk why kpop stans try to find negativity in every aespa event, that's the reason I avoided allkpop for some months, even twitter is better because at least they know they are messy, while the users here act all superior and pretend to be objective lol

They look like normal human beings. Pretty, normal human beings. I guess since their concept is AI, knetz think they should look like AI?

oh i thought aepsa threw the first pitch for the latest yankees game (which was the first game in a 3-game series against the red sox) but actually aespa appeared in the game one day prior against the white sox and in that one yankees indeed did win (although that meant they just avoided a sweep and they still lost the series 1-2 overall against white sox haha) 😅
