how many members in kep1er that got many screen times in gp999 or got impactful screen time?

Because after watched pd48, I realized that, the izone members are actually had many screen time or important ones, making them quite memorable (hence some people accusing that Chaewon is rigged because she had the least)

Chaehyun - Ballad My Sea (but she also had her fair share of voice crack that Mnet like to amplify)

Xiaoting - Fate (dance) & Snake (center)

Youngeun - U + ME main vocal moment

Yujin - Shoot main vocal moment (but honestly, the most memorable moment was her being dissed by Yaning we go up but you dont)

Yeseo - Fate (dance)

Hikaru - Boombayah audition and every single performance later

Mashiro - Fiesta, Mafia

Dayeon - ice cream (dance)

Hyyih - little screentime and attebtion. arugably i think she did pretty well in Fiesta (cause the group as a whole is weak)

But I agree about Dayeon, she's talented but you can't keep pushing someone with less supporters compared to those with a lot of fans. Mashiro is popular in Japan, Bahiyyih for her international fandom and Xiaoting in China which three of them are the one with a huge fanbase inside Kep1er yet not one of them getting treated properly.

Idk maybe w1 somewhat hoping Dayeon can turned into Chaewon or Yena who started at the bottom of the popularity ranking among Izone members but end up become among the most popular one. Yet they need to understand by the 3rd cb that not everyone has that kind of star power even when the company trying to push them.

Sometimes make me wonder how massive will Kep1er be in term of sales if they have more than 1 chinese member. Xiaoting herself (at #9) is very hard to gather a massive bulk buy fanbase from China. If Ruiqi and/or Yaning are added, they could have much better sales

BP has 2 chinese members - we will see. ZhangHao's fanbase is already crazily huge in China

I can't connect to their music, it feels like their sound keeps being changed, like they're still searching for their musical and visual identity.

A lot would be solved if they just put Xiaoting in the center more and gave bigger parts to popular members who they aren't pushing.

I was actually super sad for Ruiqi. She had a promising start on GP999 but mnet evil edited her (and also killed Yaning momentum with that failed high note).

She was on two popular survival show in China and her ranking was pretty high in both. In pd 101, she was eliminated at ranking 25. After that, she and Xiaoting both take part in Produce camp 2020. While Xiaoting was eliminated at ranking 80, her final ranking was at 11. She has huge fanbase bc of that and that's why a lot of China fans dropped Kep1er when she was not in the final line up.

I honestly think it wouldn't have mattered at all if Yurina, Ruiqi or whoever else ifans liked made it in, the group's sound is simply not trendy right now. They had a lot of attention after the survival show bc people do love watching survival shows but most survival groups don't grow a lot after. People say WDD was a big hit, but while it did alright, much of its hype was the attention they had. If it had been a true hit and stan attractor, the next title track should have debuted bigger (like what happened to every other group if they have a hit), but the next comeback already did worse. And then that was badly received and well, the rest is history. They debuted around the same time as a whole bunch of groups from big companies with trendier music and concepts, they were always gonna lose a lot of the less dedicated fans.

Many suspected that the loud Bahiyyih "fans" supported the group initially but subsequently stopped buying because they dont really care about her, more for her brother Kai (this might not be the case but might have truth to it)

Agreee. I pay zero attention to those types of shows but La Vie en Rose made me pay attention and get enthusiastic.

I didnt care for izone bu they had good music, a very good debut follow but good cmb after that it got a lil repetitive but it was still decent/good material but THIS GROUP

from debut until all looks cheap, underproduced and underwhelming

xiaoting is wasted here, they need to end so she can return to china and have a solo career there

Its not that they don't care about her, but they don't want to buy their albums anymore and support kep1er. They are just waiting for kep1er to disband and her to redebut in another group. They are still very active in their own projects to promote and support bahiyyih. She still get the most attention from the group but her fans just give up on kep1er because of her treatment

Nah, gp999 voting system really fuck the whole show up. Korean votes weight heavier than the international votes while the show and the group itself are heavily carried by the global fandom. If they don't have this voting system, Su Ruiqi and Fu Yaning will replace Yeseo and Dayeon.

Su Ruiqi for example is far more popular than Xiaoting and her fanbase in China is bigger than her even till now. Do you want me to believe that her fans wouldn't generate more sales? As much as I like Yeseo and Dayeon, they are the least popular member in Kep1er which didn't contribute much to sales. And Yaning popularity was on par with Xiaoting in gp999 and she has one of the most dedicated fanbase too during that show. Xiaoting cbar alone able to buy more than 30k album during their debut, while other members less than 10k. They might have almost 100k sales alone in China if they have more c-members.

So this is the result - poor sales. See how BP999 didnt make this happen

A super wise move on BP999 cause sales and revenues are all that matter for a limited-time group. They are not here to build brand power. No one will care about how much you slayed on K-charts in few years time after disband.
