Does the "No white dress to a wedding" apply in Korea?
i think is not only "NOT WHITE DRESS", and we know how obsessed are Koreans with girls in white "pure" dresses, but also don´t outshine the bride at all.
It translate into: if you are a pretty idol, please try to look ugly. I think they are told they would be attacked by netzends if they try to take the thunder from the bride on her day.
But i see Wonyoung on the picture and she i Wonyoung, you can´t get pass her. And she is wearing a dress that ain´t that shabby.
Also i was invited to an asian Wedding last year, i am not sure if all countries are the same. It wasn´t a luxury wedding, but they sat and ate very well. Thou they don´t dance at all, they didn´t even had the bride and grom dance. Is this normal in Korea too? I don´t really know

I've seen some wedding photos when idols attended etc. and I've seen girlies in white and off-white shorter dresses
Also is "wearing red means you slept with the groom" only a western tradition?

I've never heard of that until American movie and I live in Europe
Korean fashion for wedding guests can sometimes be perplexing. It can be very different from what we are used to. It's fun to see how some people can look casual and still fit the setting. The key is to dress respectfully and elegantly to not draw negative attention to yourself.
Makes sense!
I find a lot of idols have bizarre fashion taste when their not on stage.
Yeah
its very casual
at best people dress business casual
Here guests wear beautiful gowns
Yeah, that is weird.
That does not really look like what I'd picture for a wedding.
My family has always dressed up for weddings though. So maybe it's a cultural thing.
I usually wear a nice dress and heels whenever I attend a wedding.
This is giving CEOs funeral
Gaeul in her grandma era

for example, what Gaeul's wearing is a very popular look and style in Korea but I honestly think it looks grandmastic
In my country weddings are fashion shows, every women wears the best looking dresses from traditional to modern ones, and the hair styles need to be sophisticated, and if you happen to be the family's bride you need to look as good as the bride, in our weddings you can't come in causal clothes cuz that you'll stand out too much.

yeah weddings are mostly a fashion show here too
Nah in Asia, generally - it’s up to the bride and groom to set the level of what guests wears (it’s noted in the invitation and depending on venue and time of wedding etc.)
There’s the whole spectrum - casual - traditional - glam etc. I have been to all three types. Casual with a summer maxi dress, traditional with a traditional dress that I may never wear it again lol, and glam with more a fancy dress.
This wedding was probably casual, hence the outfits.
If the wedding venue was posh and more lux or at night, then it can be like a fashion show.
For me, as long as the hosts are happy and the guests aren’t breaking any norms set by the hosts, it’s all fine. Let ppl wear as they please.

oh wow
here the bride wears red at the wedding
