  • Germany did have it, but in 2015 they got rid of it for good. Later on they realised that a lot people enlisted as social worker instead and that the number of social worker even outgrew numbers from the years before while the military is slowly shrinking.

At first they said it was good to have all those men and women helping for good, but they later on cried how people don't want to go to the military no more

    Yeah same here

IDK how it exactly works for Britain, but the Scottish husband of my aunt came to Germany with the British army. He than decided to stay in Germany after meeting my aunt and got married to her. When he was 40+ he had to leave the army and is now working as truck driver in Germany.

  • We actually have it, and it's obligatory at 18, you can't postpone it. But, in reality, 80% gets exempted because there aren't enough spots nor the budget for everyone. If you are a university student or say you don't want to serve, you get sent to the back of the queue and there's only a small chance you can get drafted.

  • I could not for the life of me serve in the military, I have no athletic bone in my body, the first day of my enlistment I'd already be looking for ways to run home, escape through the woods, or dig a hole in the ground all the way back home, you could not count on me, I would be crying 24/7.

  • I'd make a career out of it. I think it would suit me so I'd probably enlist after high school and become a full time soldier.

  • If it was something I had to do and didn't particularly want to and there was no way to defer/get around it with a neutral or positive outcome, then I'd do it as soon as possible to get it over with. I mean that's basically how I approach the stupid menial tasks and even bigger unavoidable ones in life too, so I'll just go by the same logic.

  • If I’m not willingly enlisting in the us military what makes you think I’m gonna allow them to force me?

But in all seriousness, it probably wouldn’t apply to me. I am and woman with a medical past. I would probably get an exemption of some sort.

  • after HS
I think that the perfect time
    for military enlistment

even back on my day during my HS days and 1st year of my university
    I have join in ROTC

as a teenager we have youthful energy, lot of stamina and faster recovery rate
at that age can do multi task, too naive ?
that is the ideal time to join military enlistment
