Converting friends into kpop fans

Rather than converting my current friend groups into hobbies I have, I tend to find new friends who have the same interest.

That's always been my way and it's great to meet new people

unfortunately no i tried but they didnt show interest

but i made them listen to some songs and they liked especially kyungsoo

It didn't work

But I'm used to it, none like J-pop either

The closest was another friend knowing BTS through other friends

Yes my 2 cousins. I was a Sone that time and they were converted. After they fly to canada, they still love SNSD to this day

Something similar happened to me lmao.

I tried so hard to get my friend into KPOP by playing him songs. He would like the songs, but he would never go further than listening to the song and being like "Nice.". Lol. I tried not to be pushy about it, and that was my mistake.

I have a friend who is a hard core Army though, and she force feed him BTS until he became an Army too.

Now, he plays me KPOP songs like he discovered them, and I'm like...dude, I played you this song like 4 years ago.

One time, he had the nerve to play a song and said, "Have you heard this song? It's a bop!" It was NCT's Cherry Bomb. A song I played him as soon as it came out, and he replayed it to me like 3 years after. As if he was showing ME something.

Her ARMY college friends force-fed her BTS videos too

I got three people in my department and my cousin into Twice. Now five of us are attending the Twice concert at SOFI in June.

I didn't convert him but my partner likes some K pop especially when Gangnam Style came out but he wasn't right into it like I was. In fact, I hardly bring it up round him now. I was surprised that even a couple of my co workers are into it.

Minimal success with friends, although a couple of work friends responded very positively to more hype BTS songs.

Converted my husband though! The thing that pushed him over into full ARMY was all of the backstory/lore/hidden theories.
