The thing is..there are no rules..it just has to feel right. There was a song called “Chain Hang Low” that borrowed from “Ears Hang Low”…different genre but at least the nursery rhyme sample feels “settled” in the chorus. I still wouldn’t advise going that route with borrowing from nursery rhymes. Some people say it’s lazy to do that.

How the chorus doesn’t mix well in “Young, Dumb, Stupid Foolish“ is a disappointment. I hope some of their other songs hit on the level their voices deserve.

I think it's mostly the main problem with the management of their group. We don't know in which direction it's going and the identity of the bands is really messy before their bands had a clear identity whether we like the group or not.

The real incompetents are the artistic directors of the company who are obviously complete morons. It's not like only the songs produced have problems, their is also the way they sing, but even the MV and outfits have many problems. They've 3 active grils groups, and they all managed in a totally stupid way.

When JYP chooses the title tracks for his groups, it feels like he's just reaching in the garbage bin of other producers and hoping what he pulls out is hidden treasure.

They definitely need help for NMixx

I dont even think you could help nmixx anymore without scrapping their whole debut and comeback sound and just starting new. And even then it would be hard to get the public's attention, everyone is focused on New Jeans. I just think JYP doesn't care. Or I guess their division doesn't care. I mean which producers are they hiring to make this slop. how can you call yourself a producer if you sample nursery rhymes in your song. It's just music for idiots.

kinda like SM's writer camp thing

Each group has an independent team. Itzy songs are ok, but Nmixx's song choice is atrocious and Twice gets the songs that everyone else rejects. So whomever is in charge of song choice for these 2 groups, kinda needs to go on a long holiday.
