Yall remember how back in the day SM was the "buying" company but nothing ever came out of it?

They bought Woollim when Infinite was at their peak but nothing came out of it except for WooyoungxKey and Lovelyz referring to themselves as SM group on a variety and getting relentlessly mocked by everyone?

Or so we thought Now that SM is, as per their own statement, "afraid" that all the best trainees and personnel will be transferred to Hybe if deal goes through, is that what happened behind the scenes at Woollim? When we were all looking for Infinite getting SM treatment, it was the staff that was getting it? Yikes if true but that would kinda explain Woollim's downfall.

I really thought Infinite would become one of the top groups under SM, one of my biggest disappointments

When it comes to entertainment I don't believe monopoly is even a possibility, so I am not worried. Monopolies exist in tech for example, cause it is hard to just start a company and start selling smartphones.

In Kpop industry there were and will always be surprise acts that will give a rise to another company. Bighit was a company that was managing 2AM for JYP. Just one act brought them to top. Now we have KQ with Ateez doing better than last 3 YG boy groups.
