When the whole reason companies favor debuting visual groups now is because of how badly stans let the vocals flopped back then if they weren't visuals.
One of my faves got a whole new face and people still wouldn't turn out for her music

I don't think It's going to age well. Kpop contantly changes and evolves, trends come and go. In the 90s It was the norm for Kpop group to lip-sync on the music shows stages, that changed in the 2000s. Live singing was cherished until the mid 10s I would say. After that we saw the rise of many groups that are more dance focused, and now we see groups debuting that don't even really have an outsatnding vocalist in it.
I think people will grow tired of It and live singing would eventually become important again. But who knows, we'll see,
