So what I'm reading is IVE literally MADE Kakao. Kakao was never mentioned, absolutely nothing, until IVE boosted this poor little nugu company. Talk about impact.

WJSN did debut a month after LEON (who owned 70% of Starship) was bought by KakaoM, so KakaoM probably was not that much involved in the marketing of WJSN compared to now, plus KakoM owns about 60% of Starship, compared to Hybe that controls 100% of Big Hit. That may affect the level of investment the parent company makes on the subsidiary.
