I wrote several times that it is unfortunate the world missed the fight of all time, BTS vs BlackPink,because YG Plus is distributing Hybe albums and YG didn't want to fight Hybe because of it.
By the same logic, it is unlikely that Babymonster will fight NewJeans.
There are a lot of talks about whether BM will beat NJ in the overseas (whatever happening in K-O-R-E-A doesn't really matter) because of its extremely strong support from Blinks, or NJ, given its rising popularity in the west, will beat BM.
With IVE likely to focus more on Japan this year , NJ will probably forge ahead toward the rest of the world, but at some point a battle between NJ and BM would have been necessary to decide who is the boss.
Without a direct fight, it would be impossible to decide who is the superior.
That leads to years of futile squabbles which lead to nowhere.
BTS and BlackPink could coexist since one was a boy group and another was a girl group. But now NJ and BM are both girl groups and one has to dominate another.
A direct fight would have settled the question but instead the world will have to see a futile struggle for supremacy between NewJeans and BabyMonster for the next few years around the world.
