    While writing about IU, I cited a lot of reactionary figures of history. They got more reactionary, more intolerant and more disapproving of the younger generation as they got older.

    There were three famous generals of history, but since Alexander the Great died undefeated, that leaves Hannibal and Napoleon.


    Napoleon's nemesis Wellington was of the same age. However, with BTS' semi-retirement, I don't see anyone born in 1993 defeating KPop's Greatest Reactionary.


    Hannibal was defeated by Scipio Africanus, who was 11/12 years younger. So it is likely that IU's nemesis will be 11/12 years younger than the former owner of Edam Entertainment.


    KPop history's greatest battle, and the battle to establish the 4th Generation of KPop and end the stranglehold of a certain figure in the K-O-R-E-A-N digital market, will take place in next year. And for the first time the former owner of Edam Entertainment is feeling the heat, which appears to be why she wore a new jeans for her concert promotion video to show the world that she is aware of this new threat.


    The significance of this battle in 2023 can't be underestimated. It is whether KPop goes back to its rentierism, where the digital music seller once again gets to call the shots, or whether KPop can shake the last of the digital monsters and move on to its new style of niche genre.
